T. Nagar Boutique

This 1,400 sq ft boutique in T. Nagar was completed in 2021. The client sells handloom textiles and wanted the fit-out to read as a gallery rather than a shop. We removed the existing dropped ceiling, exposed the slab, and rebuilt the floor in a single piece of cast terrazzo.

A long display rail runs the length of one wall; the opposite wall is left blank to keep the focus on the fabric. Lighting is set to 3000K with high-CRI sources so colours read true. A central fitting room is screened by a single panel of fluted glass.
