Velachery Penthouse

This 5,800 sq ft penthouse in Velachery was completed in 2022. The unit spans two floors at the top of a residential tower, with a wraparound terrace on the upper level. The clients asked for a layout that could host extended family without losing the privacy of the bedroom wing.

We cut a double-height void at the centre of the lower floor; the staircase runs alongside it as a single folded ribbon. The terrace is shaded by a deep timber pergola planted with bougainvillea. Inside, the palette is limewashed walls, raw silk curtains, and oiled teak floors throughout.
